1. Foreword from the host

Diplomats in wellingtons? All 4 Water, Water 4 All? What a strange name for an international youth camp! Wellingtons? Diplomats? Four for the water? What do all these mean?- these could be asked by a wondering, external spectator. And when he gets the answer he could be even more surprised. Do these students from four nations meet now here, now there to be concerned with water? And so, in addition not to sunbathe in the coolest beaches, instead they measure the dirty, mashy maybe polluted water often in a hidden, inaccessible place. Who can understand it? Even if the spectators don’t, we do! As we know that these students meet time by time –in the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary and Germany – to observe and get acquainted with the damage of the fresh water’s state what was caused by the people. They consider improtant the protection of rivers, lakes, and these natural environments’ flora and fauna and they also want to insist its importance. With this in mind they have gathered in Sárospatak, to do some true and pointing ahead observations at the river Bodrog and sewagefarms. They did it well and the results are worth considering. It was a pleasure that we could be the hosts of this project. We are also happy that our students could participate in these programs beacuse we can only protect our environment if we can captivate the youth and encourage them to do everything for environmental protection. We believe in the continuation of the program and with this more and more new  students can undrestand the words of Chief  Seattle “Treat the Earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children… the rivers are our sisters and yours too. For this reason you have to treat the rivers with just as much love as your sisters.”
